The new series of devices, presumably, will include four models: the basic version of the Mate 40 and its more powerful modification Mate 40 Pro, as well as variants of the Mate 40 Pro Plus and Mate 40 Porsche Special Edition.

It is reported that the standard variant of the Mate 40, codenamed Ocean, will receive a 6.67-inch display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The main camera consists of a 50-megapixel sensor, a unit with a 20-megapixel sensor, and ultra-wide-angle optics, as well as an 8-megapixel periscope module with optical zoom. Power will be provided by a 4300 mAh battery.

The Mate 40 Pro versions are also credited with having a 90Hz curved screen. At the same time, the powerful camera will supposedly include sensors of 50 and 80 million pixels, a periscope module with optical zoom, and a ToF unit for obtaining data on the scene depth. Battery capacity – 4600 mAh.

Finally, the Mate 40 Pro Plus models are credited with having a 6.7-inch screen, a multi-module camera with 5x optical zoom and ToF sensor, a 32MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery.

The 5-nanometer Kirin processor will serve as the “heart” of smartphones: devices of the Mate 40 series will become the latest flagships of Huawei on proprietary chips. Buyers will be able to choose between versions with 8 and 12 GB of RAM.
