Doja Cat Asks Fans to Stop Calling Her by Her Full Name
Doja Cat recently addressed some issues with her fans on Twitter over the weekend.
One particular matter she raised was about her “government name,” Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini. She found it creepy when fans used her real name as their screen name. She requested them not to do so and asked them to respect her privacy.
The singer also expressed her disapproval of fans calling themselves “kittenz,” a term she used in her younger days when she struggled with alcohol. She firmly stated that her fans should not choose their names and told those using such titles to focus on more important things, like helping their parents or finding a job.
Some fans responded with confusion and asked what they should change their names to since Doja Cat didn’t like the term “kitten.” Others playfully referenced her past “cat” persona, pointing out how she had meowed during interviews and dressed as a cat at events like the Met Gala.
It appears that Doja Cat has since deleted these tweets, but some had already been shared by others on social media before their removal.
