Dragon Age 4 will unfold in the Tevinter empire

Eurogamer journalist Tom Phillips noted in his recent book BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development a reference to the location of the upcoming Dragon Age. The events of the project will unfold in the Tevinter empire.

This was also indicated by the ending of Dragon Age: Inquisition – Trespasser and the collection of stories Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights. However, it is believed that the first official confirmation of the location of the next Dragon Age took place in the official book, which describes the history of the studio BioWare.

In addition, BioWare: Stories and Secrets of 25 Years of Game Development mention the city of Antiva and one of the Antivan Ravens, a member of the Spy, Assassin, and Thief Guild. The character is dressed in a mask and has a sword, and is also able to summon real ravens to help him. The book also describes the Sorrowful Watch, which protects Thedas from occult threats and dwells in the necropolises. It is possible that the territory of the country of Navarra will also be in the upcoming Dragon Age, since it is located in Thedas, south of the Tevinter Empire, and it contains necropolises.

Finally, images in the book show the Lords of Fortune treasure hunter guild, which has its origins in Rivain (northeast of the Tevinter Empire), and the Deep Roads, the dwarven tunnels that span Thedas.

In December, at The Game Awards 2020, BioWare studio presented a new trailer for the fourth part of Dragon Age, but on which platforms the game will be released and when the release will take place is still unknown. And following a recent team reshuffle, Christian Dailey, head of BioWare Austin ( Anthem ), took over the project.
