E Ink and Innolux announced the joint development of a 28-inch color electrophoretic display
Innolux is the first E Ink partner to manufacture and sell ACeP large format displays. According to companies, their partnership aims to expand the use of electronic paper in IoT applications, including smart cities.
These applications are well suited for ACeP since such displays have extremely low power consumption – when displaying a static image, energy is not consumed at all. Other advantages, including small thickness and weight, are largely due to the lack of a backlight system.
