In the story mode of Star Wars: Squadrons, players take on the role of pilots for the New Republic and the Galactic Empire to see the conflict on both sides of the barricades. The Galactic Civil War is drawing to a close, but its outcome depends on aerial combat. The Galactic Empire suffered heavy casualties in the Battle of Endor and is now seeking to destroy the newly formed New Republic. At the same time, the enemy is preparing a secret project “Star Hawk”, which is able to turn the tide of a confrontation.

In addition to the single-player story campaign, Star Wars: Squadrons will feature several 5v5 multiplayer modes. Users will be able to take control of several classes of starships in the New Republic and the Galactic Empire, including the agile A-Wing and the devastating TIE bomber.
