Edge magazine circulated and itself denied information about the transfer of Resident Evil Village to June

The TweakTown portal drew attention to the fact that on the pages of the new issue of Edge magazine, the release date for the horror Resident Evil Village is not May 7 of this year but June 22.

A month and a half delay in release is not the worst thing that can happen to a game during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the potential news did not seem impossible to the community.

Despite this, gamers did not rule out the possibility of error – after all, video game magazines have already been seen in disseminating false information more than once.

A Twitter user under the pseudonym Carabina360 contacted the official Edge microblogging and Resident Evil Village producer Peter Fabiano for clarification on the situation.

Fortunately for fans of the series, both Edge and Fabiano confirmed that this is indeed an oversight: “We are delighted and at the same time afraid to report that this is a typing error. The guilty person has already been dealt with accordingly

Thus, Resident Evil Village is still scheduled for release on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Owners of the game on PS4 and Xbox One will receive a free upgrade to the version for the next-generation console. …

Recall that as part of yesterday’s presentation of the Radeon RX 6700 XT video card, it became known that the PC version of Resident Evil Village will receive support for ray tracing and AMD FidelityFX.
