Edge teaser hints at upcoming news on Hollow Knight: Silksong
Edge editors in the official microblog of the edition published a teaser for the next issue. The image attached to the tweet hinted at upcoming news about the action-platformer Hollow Knight: Silk song.
In addition to the issue (354) and the release date (December 31 of this year) of the upcoming magazine, the above image contains only an ellipse cropped at the top on a dark background.
Such a small amount of initial data did not bother the players. CNET’s Science Editor Jack Ryan immediately spotted a familiar shape in the teaser – the inner arc of the Hornet’s horns from Hollow Knight and its yet-to-be-released sequel.
Ryan’s and other Hollow Knight fans’ theory of Edge’s connection to the upcoming game is confirmed by the December 13 release date. It was on this day in 2018 and 2019 that the development studio Team Cherry made its New Year messages.
A particularly zealous fan of Team Cherry’s work, a Reddit user under the pseudonym HanLeas, even collected all possible hints of Hollow Knight: Silk song around the teaser.
