To do this, they are equipped with USB Type-C downstream ports with support for DisplayPort Alt Mode
EIZO recently announced two new office monitors. The FlexScan EV2795 uses a 27 “IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and the FlexScan EV2495 uses a 24.1” IPS panel with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. In both cases, the brightness is 350 cd / m², the contrast ratio is 1000: 1.
EIZO FlexScan EV2795 and EV2495 Monitors Can Be Chained
An interesting feature of the FlexScan EV2795 and EV2495 is the USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub with two USB Type-C ports and three USB Type-A ports. The USB Type-C upstream port can be used not only to feed video, but also power the laptop, delivering power up to 70W, and the downstream, supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery, allows you to daisy chain multiple monitors (up to four in the case of the EV2495 and up to two in the case of EV2795). In addition, there is a Gigabit Ethernet port. In other words, a docking station is built into the monitor. The monitor can also be connected using the more familiar HDMI or DisplayPort inputs, and the hub can be connected using the USB Type-B connector. The equipment also includes two 1W loudspeakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Monitor stands provide the ability to adjust the height, angle, and angle of the screen, as well as change its orientation.
The new monitors are expected to start shipping in October or November. Pricing has not yet been announced.
