Elite: Dangerous’s massive Odyssey expansion pack for PC goes on sale May 19
The British studio Frontier Developments on its official website announced the exact date of the PC version of the massive Odyssey add-on to its space simulator Elite: Dangerous.
Recall that the release of Odyssey was planned at the beginning of this year simultaneously on all target platforms. Instead of the premiere at the appointed time, players were postponed: to the end of spring (PC) and autumn (consoles).
As it became known, Frontier Developments did not abandon the plans announced in January: Odyssey will go on sale on May 19 this year for Steam, Epic Games Store, and Frontier Store.
The basic version of Odyssey in the Russian region of Steam and Epic Games Store is 725 rubles. The extended edition with access to the “alpha” and a soundtrack in the kit will cost those who wish 1035 rubles.
As an incentive to pre-order the Odyssey, rather than delay the purchase until the release, the exclusive look of the Pioneer jumpsuit is used – there is no other way to get it.
The developers call Odyssey the most ambitious addition to Elite: Dangerous – players will be able to land on planets, as well as fight in large-scale battles involving spaceships, ground vehicles, and commanders.
Odyssey is currently still in alpha testing – it will come to an end in a week, on April 30th. As for PS4 and Xbox One, the add-on release on these systems is still scheduled for the fall.
