They claim that Threads collects too much data
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and Twitter owner Elon Musk said that Threads, a new online communication platform that Meta* plans to launch on Thursday, June 6, will collect all sorts of user data.
With the help of Threads, Meta* intends to compete with the social network Twitter, which recently introduced new restrictions for its users. The Threads app is now available on the App Store and Google Play in Early Access. At the same time, Jack Dorsey and Elon Musk were attracted by the terms of confidentiality.

Per app policy, Threads may collect data about personality, health and fitness, finances, browsing history, purchases, location, contacts, and other “sensitive information”. In total, the application can collect data from fourteen categories, although Twitter is not far behind, collecting data from ten categories. But Twitter does not include health, financial, shopping, or sensitive information in this set.
Dorsey posted the Threads privacy policy on his Twitter account with the tongue-in-cheek message, “All your Threads belong to us,” to which Musk responded short and clear, “Exactly.”
According to the description in the app stores, Threads should be “a place where communities come together to discuss everything from topics that excite you today to what will be trending tomorrow”, where you can connect with content creators, share ideas, opinions and creativity.
