Tesla has funded a glass house project for CEO Elon Musk in Austin, Texas. The leak of information caused indignation of investors, after which an internal investigation began on whether this was an inappropriate expense for the company, as The Wall Street Journal writes.
The alleged secret project, known inside Tesla as Project 42, involved building a building with glass walls and familiar living spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen, according to unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
The company’s million-dollar order for specialized glass reportedly raised concerns among some of the company’s employees who did not know the purpose of the order, which later led to an internal investigation.
Elon Musk ordered a Project 42 house with glass walls.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the house for the Tesla CEO will be located near the company’s headquarters in Austin. The renders seen by the source showed a waterfall embedded in the surrounding landscape and a Cybertruck-like pickup truck.
Recall that Elon Musk said that he had sold all the real estate and he himself lives in a modular house for 50 thousand dollars, which he rents from his company SpaceX in south Texas.
