Neuralink chips will allow them to be controlled
Elon Musk has announced that his companies Tesla and Neuralink will work together to create prostheses for amputees, which will be controlled by Neuralink chips implanted in the human brain.
“By combining a Neuralink implant and a robotic arm or leg for someone with an amputated arm or leg (or all arms or legs), we can create a cyborg body that empowers people with disabilities with incredible abilities,” he told Tesla investors this week.

I think it would be great to help millions of people around the world and give them an arm or a leg that is just as good, maybe better in the long run, than biological ones.
The startup Neuralink was created by Musk in July 2016. He is developing chips that can be implanted in the human brain. In May, the company announced that it received permission from the US Department of Health Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to conduct human clinical trials.
