Vivek Ramaswami Says He Likes Billionaire Approach

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswami said he would like Elon Musk to become an adviser to his administration if he is elected.

Ramaswami said he wants to attract new people with a fresh perspective and added: “I was lucky to get to know Elon Musk better recently. I expect him to be a useful advisor to me because he fired 75% of Twitter’s employees.” Asked by NBC News about his interactions with Musk, in addition to his public appearance on Twitter, the GOP candidate explained that it was mostly just social media correspondence.

Elon Musk wants to see as his adviser a US presidential candidate who promises to shut down the FBI

On August 17, Musk posted on his social media platform X an interview of Ramaswamy with Tucker Carlson, calling Ramaswamy “a very promising candidate.” Ramaswamy has a reason to admire the massive layoffs that Musk has carried out since taking over Twitter last year. The candidate has openly stated his desire to shut down the Department of Education, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Musk was approached by NBC News for further comment on whether he would act as an adviser if Ramaswamy is elected, but there was no response.

Last month, Ramaswami took part in a virtual discussion with Musk in which the billionaire described himself as a moderate voter. They discussed a variety of topics, but Musk admitted that he disagreed with Ramaswamy on climate change.
