UAZ vehicles with Euro-5 are already undergoing the certification process

After last year’s crisis, UAZ began installing Euro-2 engines on its cars, which is now allowed by technical regulations. However, these engines will not stay under the hood of domestic SUVs for long: UAZs will receive Euro-5 engines next year. The official representative of the Sollers company (it owns the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant) Alina Komarova spoke about this.

“ As for the production of Euro-5 cars, such cars are not yet mass-produced; the process of certification of Euro-5 cars with new engine control units is underway; mass production of such cars will begin next year in full compliance with the requirements of technical regulation. ” , – said Alina Komarova.

Let us remind you that it was previously reported that dealers are experiencing a shortage of UAZ “Patriot” and “Pickup” SUVs. Sollers acknowledges the problem, but reassures us that by the end of the year there should be no shortage of cars.
