Everwild has lost its creative director, but Rare does not lose heart

Portal Video Games Chronicle (VGC) with reference to the studio Rare reported that the development team of action-adventure Everwild has lost one of its key employees.

EverWild

This is the now-former Creative Director of the project, Simon Woodroffe, who has previously contributed to several Sonic games, including Sonic Generations and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.

Rare CEO Craig Duncan commented on the change in Everwild’s leadership team: “We thank Simon for his hard work on Everwild and wish him all the best for the future

“The Everwild team is in good hands and is enthusiastic to create a game that will give gamers an unforgettable experience in a world of nature and magic,” said Duncan, concerned.

What exactly caused Duncan’s departure from the post of creative director, Rare did not say. According to VGC sources, the developer had submitted his resignation earlier in October.

Woodroffe joined Rare in 2012 as creative director of the entire studio and subsequently took over directly for Everwild. Executive Producer Louise O’Connor is now slated to take over at the helm of the project.

Everwild has no release date or at least an approximate release date. The game is being created for PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, although back in November 2019 it was announced for the current generation Microsoft console – Xbox One.
