Everything to be fair: one of the most useful bugs from Demon’s Souls in the remake has disappeared

Kotaku journalist Ian Walker noted that Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio’s remake of Demon’s Souls lacks a useful gameplay loophole from the original game.

In an October interview with Polygon, SIE Worldwide Studios creative director Gavin Moore mentioned that the developers will not deprive players in the updated version of Demon’s Souls of bugs that are “worthy of memes

As it turned out, the ability from the original Demon’s Souls to generate hundreds of units of the same item using simple manipulations did not fall under the amnesty.

To initiate the bug, it was necessary to open the menu for buying goods from the blacksmith in the central location and start walking away until the window disappeared. On PS5, this won’t happen even if you move to the opposite side of the room.

Using the original loophole, players could quickly and effortlessly gain access to hundreds of medicinal herbs, materials to upgrade weapons or souls to upgrade their character and buy items.

Upon Kotaku’s request, a representative from Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that Demon’s Souls from Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio are indeed missing the bug described in the material. On PS3, however, there is still a loophole.

The remake of Demon’s Souls went on sale on November 12 of this year exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Also yesterday, the Japanese platform- holder presented the release trailer for the game.
