Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 2 Starts Medieval Content

Independent studio Mediatonic, together with Devolver Digital, at the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2020, shared the first details and a trailer for the second season of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

A new portion of the content for a ridiculous competitive arcade game turned out to be with a medieval bias: the characters will have to reincarnate as heroes of a famous period and face off in arenas inspired by the “grandiose stories” of that time.

In particular, themed costumes (knights, paladins, Vikings, wizards, dragons) and modes are promised. All of this will appear in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout throughout October this year.

“Cross huge drawbridges, dodge swinging axes, and climb mobile siege ramps in an effort to win glory at game shows,” said lead game designer Joe Walsh.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is currently available only on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 4, but will appear on mobile devices in the future – the corresponding rights were recently acquired by the Chinese publisher Bilibili.

During its stay in the PlayStation Plus collection, the project managed to become the most downloaded in the history of the service. The Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout giveaway as part of the subscription will last until August 31 inclusive.

Steam does not lag behind the console version – earlier Devolver Digital reported that sales of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in the Valve digital distribution service have already exceeded 7 million copies.
