Fans have decided that a date important for the game is hidden in the Christmas card from the authors of Gotham Knights
Warner Bros. Studio Games Montreal in the official microblog of their superhero action game Gotham Knights congratulated the players on Catholic Christmas and at the same time gave an occasion to discuss the project’s release date.
A holiday card published by the developers shows a gym decorated in a Christmas style – bows on a punching bag and kettlebell, boxes with gifts at the athletic bench, snowflakes hanging from gymnastic rings.
Attached to the wall in the background is a garland-framed poster for the upcoming Flying Graysons show, which will run from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 21st July in Robinson Park in Gotham.
Dates have attracted the most attention from users – none of them corresponds to the indicated days of the week in 2021: July 16 is actually Friday, and 21st is Wednesday.
Fans suggested that the publication contains a rebus, and July 21 indicates not a specific number, but a year: July 16, 2021, could be an important day for the Gotham Knights.
What exactly the developers are hinting at – the release date or its announcement, the premiere of a new trailer, the presentation of another character – is currently unknown, but the studio is not the first time to tease players with teasers.
Gotham Knights is an open-world co-op action RPG starring four of Batman’s allies. The release is expected in 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
