FCC issues certification for Samsung’s new budget smartphone with 7000 mAh battery

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued Samsung certification for the SM-M62F / DS – likely the Samsung Galaxy M62. The device will receive Type-C and a capacious battery. Most likely, it will be the same Galaxy F62, which was previously certified in the Indian market.

The GSMArena portal, with reference to the FCC document, reports that the smartphone will come with a 25W charger, USB Type-C will be used as a connector for charging and data transfer. The most interesting thing about this device is the battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh. There will also be a 3.5mm headphone jack on the case. Earlier it became known that Samsung has certified the Galaxy F62 in India, which is likely to be the same Galaxy M62.

If so, then based on the published information about the Galaxy F62 in the Geekbench synthetic test database, we can expect that the device will receive the same processor: Exynos 9825, 6 GB of RAM and Android 11 out of the box.

Previously, it was believed that the Galaxy M62 will be a representative of the Samsung Galaxy Tab family of tablets, but the device appears in the FCC documents as a smartphone. According to GSMArena, more information about the device should appear in the coming days.
