It can also shoot 4K video at up to 60 fps

FeiyuTech introduced Feiyu Pocket, a miniature camera with a triaxial stabilizer. The novelty is very similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket device, released in November 2018. However, Feiyu Pocket does not cost $ 369, but $ 120 less – $ 249.

The devices are almost identical in shape and size, as well as in the capabilities of a 360-degree rotating head and the presence of simple camera controls in the form of two buttons.

A noticeable difference from the technical side is the lack of an expansion port – Feiyu Pocket only has a USB-C port. On the other hand, you can note a slightly larger screen: 1.3 inches diagonally instead of 1 inch for DJI Osmo Pocket.

If we talk about the camera itself, the Osmo Pocket 1 / 2.3-inch image sensor works in tandem with a lens whose field of view is 80 ° and the aperture is f / 2. The Feiyu Pocket camera uses a 1 / 2.5-inch format sensor, and the lens is characterized by a 120 ° field of view and an f / 2.8 aperture. Both cameras can shoot 4K video (3840 x 2160 pixels) at up to 60 fps. In the shooting mode, Feiyu Pocket produces frames with a resolution of 8.5 megapixels, and Osmo Pocket – with a resolution of 12 megapixels.

Mechanical stabilization in three degrees of freedom in Feiyu Pocket is complemented by digital stabilization. A single Feiyu Pocket battery lasts for 3.5 hours shooting 4K video or 4.5 hours when shooting Full HD video. The charger charges the battery in 80 minutes. The microSD card slot supports cards up to 512 GB.

Feiyu Pocket offers several shooting modes, including a spherical panorama, slow motion mode, several options for automatic panorama, self-portrait mode and intelligent motion synchronization mode, in which the stabilizer is synchronized with hand movements. Feiyu offers the FeiyuTech app for Android and iOS, which has real-time viewing and the ability to change camera settings.
