Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is now available on iOS and Android at an unpleasantly high price
Square Enix has announced the remaster of the Japanese RPG Final Fantasy VIII on iOS and Android. The project is sold at $1872.94 both in the App Store and Google Play.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered was previously released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This is an updated version of the original JRPG, which was released on February 11, 1999. The plot of the game tells about the Republic of Galbadia’s war against other peoples of the world. Squall and the other elite squad members of mercenaries SeeD are united by a girl named Rinoa to fight against the tyrannical rule and prevent the spellcaster Edea from reaching her ultimate goal.
The game features the Drawing mechanic, which replaces the usual mana: heroes need to extract spells in the battle to use them on the spot or save them for later. The remaster included such auxiliary functions as speeding up the game by three times, turning off random encounters with enemies, and helping in battle (replenishing lives, filling the ATB meter, and activating a special strike at any time).
