In addition, the Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist classes, as well as the dragon-like humanoid aura race character creation, are now available to trial players. This is good news for players who are still not sure if Final Fantasy XIV is worth buying and paying for a monthly subscription.

Square Enix also revealed that Final Fantasy XIV has crossed the 20 million registered player mark worldwide. Upcoming is Update 5.3, which is slated to launch on August 11th. With it, the most tedious quests that gamers have been complaining about for many years will be removed from the game. Notably, after the release of the update, all existing and future users of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will have full access to the Heavensward expansion and all the benefits it includes. Finally, Update 5.3 brings with it many challenges, as well as the finale of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers’ storyline and the next chapter in the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series based on the NieR universe.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC and PlayStation 4. The game has also been announced for Xbox One.
