Asus has unveiled the TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition, and it’s quite remarkable as it’s the first laptop in the series to feature AMD components (CPU and GPU) and a USB4 port.

The body of the device is quite thin for a gaming model, in addition, the laptop meets the requirements of the strength of the American military standard MIL-STD-810H.

The display, as the name implies, is 16-inch. The base panel is an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a frame rate of 165 Hz and coverage of 100% of the sRGB color space. For a surcharge, you can get a matrix with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a frame rate of 240 Hz, coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

The TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition is equipped with only the latest AMD processors, up to the Ryzen 9 7940HS. As for the graphics subsystem, there is a Radeon RX 7700S dGPU with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 120 W TGP. The maximum DDR5-4800 RAM is 32 GB, two PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs can be installed in the laptop

Among the interface connectors, in addition to the aforementioned USB4, a pair of USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.1 and RJ-45 (Gigabit Ethernet). Other features of the model include a 4-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos support, a webcam with Full HD video recording and infrared illumination, support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and a 90 Wh battery. The thickness of the device is 22.15-26.75 mm (depending on the configuration), weight – 2.2 kg.
