Sales will begin on November 8
The first SAIC Roewe D-series model, called the D7, will officially go on sale on November 8 in China. The manufacturer plans to offer discounts of up to $1,600.
Buyers with a $140 deposit are eligible for a $960 rebate on the electric version of the car, and a $700 rebate on the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version.
The Shanghai brand also offers interest-free loans in 24 installments. For the first time, owners will receive a 6-year/150,000 km powertrain warranty. First-time buyers are also eligible for free charger and installation, as well as 3 years of free data capped at 2GB per month.
The Dual Motor Hybrid (DMH) model starts at $17,800, while the 510km range electric ranges from $20,600 to $21,900 and the 610km range ranges from $23,300 to $25,000.
The D7 DMH Hybrid will be equipped with a new two-motor DMH super hybrid system, providing a range of 125 km in electric mode and up to 1,400 km with a full tank. The thermal efficiency of the engine is more than 43%. Fuel consumption is 4.3 l/100 km.

The general appearance of both cars is the same. The electric car uses hidden door handles, while the hybrid model uses regular door handles. The dimensions of the electric vehicle are 4890 × 1872 × 1510 mm with a wheelbase of 2810 mm. The hybrid has a width of 1890 mm, other dimensions are the same.
According to Roewe, the new sedan has a trunk volume of 447 liters, while the second row can comfortably accommodate tall passengers.
The cabin uses a dual-screen layout consisting of a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central control screen with a MediaTek SoC.
In addition, the Roewe D7 is equipped with an advanced level 2 driving assistance system.
