On August 5, during the virtual presentation of Galaxy Unpacked 2020, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone with a flexible display was officially announced. A full-fledged presentation is scheduled for September 1, but now Internet sources have revealed detailed technical characteristics of this device.

Resource WinFuture reports that the device is endowed with a 6.2-inch external Super AMOLED screen with HDR10 + support, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a resolution of 2260 × 816 pixels.

The main flexible display Dynamic AMOLED measures 7.6 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2208 × 1768 pixels. The refresh rate of this panel reaches 120Hz.

The “heart” of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor with a clock speed of up to 3.09 GHz, working in tandem with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The UFS 3.1 flash drive has a capacity of 256 GB.

The main triple camera has the following configuration: 12-megapixel module with ultra-wide-angle optics and a maximum aperture of f / 2.2; a 12-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics, a maximum aperture of f / 1.8 and optical stabilization; 12-megapixel module with f / 2.4 maximum aperture. The selfie camera allows you to generate 10-megapixel images.

Responsible for power is a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh with support for 25-watt fast charging and 11-watt wireless charging. Dimensions are 159.2 × 128.2 × 6.9 mm, weight – 279 g.

The smartphone supports 5G cellular networks. The operating system is Android 10 with a proprietary add-on One UI 2.5.
