For Honor’s fifth year kicks off with the Asunder Season and the Masquerade of Gorkos Event

The first season of the fifth year of development has begun in the multiplayer medieval action game For Honor. On this occasion, Ubisoft presented a trailer in which it spoke about the upcoming and already emerging innovations.

The Asunder season will continue the storyline of Year 4 and its final Mayhem season.

“Following the Battle of Eclipse, the Order of Horkos and the Chimera Alliance have fought tirelessly for years. The population of the Heathmoor was dwindling, and people everywhere began to forge secret alliances with the warriors of Gorkos and the Chimera to exchange information and resources, called the Covenants. Covenants allow you to make allies outside your faction and eradicate evil among their own. The conclusion of such a pact is also a symbolic way to declare the future. Will someone accepts Gorkos’s militant beliefs, strictly following the rules and performing rituals to keep the strongest in their rightful place, or would they prefer to fight for peace and solidarity on the side of the Chimera alliance? “

The first event, the Horkos Masquerade, has already started. It will last until April 1 and allow you to fight in the hardcore PvP mode “Carousel of Horkos” in a “four against four” format. According to the story, the survivors of this trial are entitled to join the Order of Gorkos. In mode, you can earn exclusive weapons, as well as character skins and other cosmetic items. A separate trailer was dedicated to the event.

Besides, the game has new options for armor and weapons, paired animations, and “cosmetics,” which can be obtained by gaining points for the new Battle Pass (it also includes the first paired animation). With the start of the season, changes to the Warden took effect. The developers have fixed bugs and adjusted the balance taking into account the feedback from the players. Still, in general, the character’s gameplay is slightly different from that which was available on the test site. Throughout the fifth year, the creators plan to use the test site more often.

The fifth-year of support, Year of the Covenants, was introduced in February. Traditionally, it will include four seasons, each with its own Battle Pass. New characters will be added in the second and final seasons, respectively.

For Honor was released in February 2017. The game is currently available on PC ( SteamEpic Games Store, and Uplay ), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S.

Ubisoft also launched Watch Dogs: Legion online this week and the third season of Hyper Scape Battle Royale, and last week confirmed that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 would get a new model for the series this year.
