Ford criticized Tesla for quality issues and promised Mustang Mach-E won’t have them

Darren Palmer, director of product development for Ford Edison, criticized Tesla’s electric vehicles in an interview with Autoblog. He did not give the name of the brand, but even without this, it was clear that we are talking about Tesla products.

Speaking to an Autoblog reporter ahead of the launch of the all-electric Mustang Mach-E crossover, Darren Palmer noted that EV buyers have had to make compromises up to this point and agree that they have quality problems.

He promised that there would be no such problems with the company’s new electric car, since “the doors fit in it, plastic and other materials match in colour, the bumpers do not fall off, the roof does not come off during washing, the door handles do not jam in cold weather .” Recall that the quality of some models of Tesla electric vehicles often cause complaints from users, in connection with which Consumer Reports magazine awarded the Tesla Model Y electric crossover the status of “not recommended” for purchase last month.

Speaking about electric vehicles in general, Palmer emphasized that such a car should carry with it an element of novelty, arouse the desire to buy, as it was with the iPhone after the presentation of the first model.
