A US resident named Alex Whison discovered that his new Ford Super Duty had different headlights from the factory, as reported by The Drive.
The car owner spoke about the discovered problem on social networks, noting that other mistakes could have been made at the plant.
“What scares me is this: if they could make a mistake in something so simple, then what other problems could this car have? But today it applies to everything you buy,” said Alex Whison.
Ford installed different headlights from the factory on the new 2023 Ford Super Duty and F-250 King Ranch.
The $80,000 pickup due in 2023 features a lens-shaped projector headlight on the left side, while a more conventional reflector headlight sits on the right side. A similar problem was identified on another Ford F-250 King Ranch pickup truck that was for sale at a dealer in Texas.
Alex Whison decided not to ignore this and contacted the dealership, where they had already ordered a second reflector headlight for his car in order to bring its equipment in line with that indicated on the factory markings.
