NAS-storage Synology DS920 + based on Intel Celeron enters the Russian market
A month ago, Synology introduced four NAS designed for home and office use. Within the next couple of weeks, the oldest of the devices, DS920 +, will go on sale in the Russian market. The NAS is based on the Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor, which is quite powerful for devices of this class, which makes it the most powerful four-disk network storage of the company.
Synology DS920 + is a great solution for users who need local cloud storage. The device assumes the installation of up to nine hard drives with a total capacity of up to 144 TB. There are four internal bays for 3.5-inch HDDs in the NAS, but you can connect an additional five-bay Synology DX517 module to it. In addition, there are two M.2 NVMe slots for installing SSDs, which can be used for caching I / O operations.By default, the NAS has 4GB of RAM, expandable up to 8GB. The Intel Celeron J4125 processor on which the Synology DS920 + is based is a 64-bit chip with four processing cores, clocked at 2.0 GHz, and capable of overclocking to 2.7 GHz.

As for the network interfaces, the device is equipped with two RJ-45 Gigabit LAN ports. In addition, the Synology DS920 + has two USB 3.0 connectors and an eSATA port. The device has a fairly low noise level – only 19.8 dB and the included 100-W adapter is sufficient to power it.
