Fresh MIUI 12 update could cause Redmi Note 8 Pro to cycle restart

The owners of the popular Xiaomi  Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone have begun to report serious problems with the latest MIUI 12 update, which led to a cyclic boot problem for some. The current glitch is affecting European Redmi Note 8 Pro models and firmware update with V12.0.3.0.QGGEUXM version.

Just over a week ago, the rollout of this MIUI 12 software update for European versions of the Redmi Note 8 Pro began. However, it is now revealed that V12.0.3.0.QGGEUXM update is causing serious problems for some smartphone owners, which can only be fixed with a factory reset. Therefore, users of this smartphone should refrain from installing any firmware updates for now.

Some owners have even uploaded videos that show how their Redmi Note 8 Pro got stuck in recovery mode, while others demonstrated how their smartphone goes into a cyclic restart (the device reboots during the start, and so it goes on forever). Moderator Mi Community noted: “Not all users face this problem, ” but it is still quite a serious problem, and Xiaomi should fix it as soon as possible.

One of the users noted that he could not solve the problem with either Mi Tools or Mi PC Suite, and a complete reset of the device turned out to be almost the only option in order to start using the phone normally again, but this procedure will lead to data loss. Therefore, in order not to risk it, it is advisable to wait for the next update version V12.0.3.0.QGGEUXM.
