The manufacturer estimates the effectiveness of the stabilization system built into it in six exposure steps.
Fujifilm has unveiled the next X-series mirrorless camera, the information about which appeared some time ago. The manufacturer notes the compactness and low weight of the X-S10. Fujifilm says it will suit those looking for a lightweight camera with professional features for stills and videos.
Fujifilm X-S10 APS-C mirrorless camera introduced
The camera uses a 26.1MP APS-C format X-TransTM CMOS 4 image sensor and an X-Processor 4 image processor. These components are borrowed from the X-T4. New is the image stabilization system, which the manufacturer estimates the effectiveness of which is six stops of exposure (provided that it is used with certain lenses of the X system). In the description of the camera, the manufacturer says that the image stabilization mechanism is about 30% less than the similar mechanism used in the X-T4.
The camera supports 4K video recording, 30 fps, 10-bit representation, and 4: 2: 2 downsampling (only when using an external recorder, 8-bit representation, and 4: 2: 0 downsampling are available when recording to the card). At Full HD resolution, the frame rate can be increased up to 240 fps.
Continuous shooting is possible at 8 fps with the mechanical shutter and 30 fps with the electronic shutter. In the latter case, the viewfinder image does not darken during shooting.
Features include Film Simulation modes and an advanced AUTO / SP (Scene Position) mode that automatically adjusts the camera to capture a specific scene.
The camera is equipped with a moveable 3-inch display with a resolution of 1.04 million dots and an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots. In addition, there are USB 3.2 Gen1, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth, loudspeaker, stereo microphone, external microphone jack, and SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot with UHS-I support.
The camera body is partly made of magnesium alloy for increased durability in a small footprint. The dimensions of the camera are 126 x 85 x 65 mm, and the weight with the battery, one charge of which is enough for 325 shots, is 465 g.
The start of sales is scheduled for mid-November 2020. The recommended retail price of the X-S10 Body is 86,000 rubles. A kit with an 18-55mmF2.8-4 lens is priced at 120,000 rubles, and a kit with a 16-80mmF4 WR lens – at 128,000 rubles. In the US, the recommended prices are $ 1,000, $ 1,400, and $ 1,500, respectively.
