AutoCAD 2021 installed on Lumia 950XL
Microsoft announced last week that it will emulate support for x86 64-bit applications on the Windows 10 platform for Arm processors.
Full-fledged AutoCAD launched on Microsoft smartphone 2015
Enthusiasts decided to test the new feature in extreme conditions – launching AutoCAD 2021 on the ancient Lumia 950XL smartphone.
The Lumia 950XL was once the flagship and shipped with Windows 10 Mobile. His debut took place in 2015. It became one of the last smartphones that Microsoft released with this operating system.
However, enthusiasts do not forget about the Lumia 950XL and have ported the desktop Windows 10 Arm to a smartphone for a while. Last month, the Lumia 950 XL managed to launch a desktop version of Photoshop.
And now the smartphone has done quite well with desktop AutoCAD. The app is currently only available in 64-bit x86, so before Microsoft launched the emulation feature, enthusiasts did not undertake this task.
