Future iPhones and iPads will be able to hide information on the display from strangers
Apple has a difficult history with innovative solutions in its products. The company is often in no hurry to bring features that have already appeared on Android devices to the iPhone. However, Apple places a lot of emphasis on user safety. In March of this year, the company received a patent for a unique way to hide the contents of the screen of digital devices from prying eyes.
This software function will use the information received from the Face ID face-scanning system in its work. It will stimulate the use of polarizing films, which are often seen on the screens of ATMs. In other words, only a person directly interacting with the device will be able to see the information displayed on the screen. For people nearby, the image on display will look very different. Those looking at the screen from an angle are expected to see meaningless text or distorted images on the screen.
Of course, this is just a patent at the moment; however, given Apple’s commitment to privacy and the protection of user data, it would not be surprising if the company announces a new feature in the not too distant future.
