Sales should start on August 11 in South Korea
Well-known online leaker Ice Universe reports that Samsung Electronics plans to raise domestic prices for the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5, which will go on sale next month’s 11th.
The factory price of the Galaxy Fold 5 in the domestic market is around $1,655 for the 256GB version and $1,750 for the 512GB version, about $80 more than the Galaxy Fold 4 line.
As for the Galaxy Flip 5, the 256GB and 512GB versions should cost $1,100 and $1,200 respectively, which is $40 more than the previous generation.
Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5 will be more expensive than their predecessors.
These prices are for South Korea. According to Ice Universe, Samsung is currently in final negotiations with three major mobile operators.
Ice Universe was the first to accurately talk about the new trend for smartphones with waterfall screens, about the notch in the iPhone X, about the new design of the iPhone 14 with a Dynamic Island cutout, and about different 200-megapixel image sensors.
