However, this year, the Korean giant launched its flagship devices earlier, and this paid off. Reportedly, by the end of February, Samsung regained its leadership in the market, selling 24 million smartphones against 23 million from Apple. At the same time, Xiaomi closed the top three with about 12 million devices.
Back in January, Samsung held 15.6% of the market versus Apple’s 25.4%, but the release of the flagships changed everything. Among other things, Samsung sales in February grew by 26% year-on-year and were even 12% higher than in February 2019 even before the pandemic.
