Although both are built on the same Qualcomm single-chip platform
The test result of the promising flagship tablet Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (catalog number SM-X916B) has appeared in the Geekbench 6 database. The device scored 2054 points in the single-threaded test and 5426 points in the multi-threaded one.
For comparison, the result of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in the same Geekbench 6 is 1915 and 4874 points. At the same time, they have the same platform – Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy (that is, overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which can be seen from the frequency of 3.36 GHz of the Arm Cortex-X3 core).
Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is faster than Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in Geekbench 6 test
The difference in performance can be due to two factors. First, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is credited with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM (versus 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory in the Galaxy S23 Ultra). The second is that due to the large dimensions (according to rumors, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will have a screen with a diagonal of 14.6 inches), the tablet can receive a much more powerful cooling system.
