Verified whistleblower Ice Universe, who gets the data from Samsung’s research and development department, has published exclusive information about the next major camera update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra flagship smartphone.

He confirmed that after installing the update, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be able to use the main image sensor with a resolution of 200 MP for 2x zoom without losing quality when shooting videos. Recall that the smartphone is equipped with two additional cameras with a resolution of 10 megapixels, which are used by default for 3x and 10x optical zoom.

An insider confirmed that the development of the update has already been completed, and the release of the next major camera update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will take place in May, possibly June this year.

Ice Universe was the first to accurately talk about the new trend for smartphones with waterfall screens, about the notch in the iPhone X, about the new design of the iPhone 14 with a Dynamic Island cutout, and about different 200-megapixel image sensors.
