Gamescom 2021 will be online at the end of August

The German Gaming Industry Association has decided to host the annual Gamescom 2021 as a completely online event. The organizers came to this decision after lengthy discussions with partners and exhibitors. Thus, Gamescom 2021 will be held online from 25 to 29 August, and everyone will be able to follow the event for free.

Gamescom was first held online last year following the coronavirus pandemic, which has canceled many planned traditional exhibitions. However, even in the form of a virtual event, Gamescom 2020 has made considerable headway. Visitors watched over 100 million videos in all formats and on different channels. More than 50 million unique users from 180 countries followed the show, where 370 companies from 44 countries presented their new products. Building on this success, the organizers intend to make the exhibition even larger and more interesting this year.

The developers have updated the Gamescom content center, making it more attractive and functional. Also, visitors will see the Gamescom epix campaign, which will help fans of video games smoothly immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a virtual event. The exhibition will begin with the Opening Night Live opening ceremony, after which a lot of interesting events await visitors.

Anyone wishing to participate in one of the important events of the Gamescom 2021 gaming industry will be able to join the broadcast on August 25. For some reason, users who will not observe the course of events online will have the opportunity to view the exhibition in the record during the next week after the end of the event.
