The international retail chain GameStop has begun to return money even for opened boxes of Cyberpunk 2077, despite the fact that this is against the rules of the company. The Verge and Vice write about this. It is reported that the employees received such order by office mail.
Offer applies to copies for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Anyone can return the game to the store within 30 days from the date of purchase. Apparently, the store made an exception for Cyberpunk 2077 due to a large-scale scandal around the project.
Recall that earlier Sony temporarily removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store and offered to return the money to everyone. The timing of the return of the game to the service has not yet been announced. Microsoft did not remove the project from its store but added a warning about performance issues on Xbox One.
In addition, the readiness to return the money for Cyberpunk 2077 reported one of the largest US retail chains – Best Buy, – and CD Projekt has promised, if necessary, to indemnify the Buyer from his pocket. Anyone could apply until December 21.
