Considering the games that will appear in the subscription, the company could well do this.

The deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, despite the resistance of the British regulator, may soon be closed. There was an opinion that after that Microsoft could raise the price of the Game Pass subscription, because it will include very successful and money-making games. However, this will not happen.

Microsoft itself has said it will not raise the subscription price even if the deal goes through. The company wrote about this in a memo to the FTC as part of its merger with Activision Blizzard.

Gaming on Xbox will continue to be profitable.

The acquisition will benefit consumers by making Call of Duty available on Microsoft Game Pass on the day of its release on console (no price increase for the service), Nintendo, and other services that enable cloud streaming.

However, the wording seems to mean that the price will not rise immediately after the trade is completed, but does not guarantee that it will not rise sometime in the future. However, even without a price increase, Game Pass, if the deal is successfully completed, will be able to bring Microsoft much more income. According to an analyst at Wedbush Securities, the number of service subscribers in this case could quadruple. Mainly due to the appearance of Call of Duty games in Game Pass.
