Nvidia today officially introduced the GeForce RTX 4070. The new model replaced the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti – it also has 5888 CUDA cores, but more GDDR6X memory (12 GB vs. 8), higher frequency (base is 1.92 GHz vs. 1.58 GHz ) and a lot more L2 cache (36MB vs 4MB). At the same time, consumption even decreased: in games it is 200 W versus 290 W for the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. The Ada Lovelace architecture has already proven to be energy efficient, and the GeForce RTX 4070 is no exception to this rule.

Nvidia says the GeForce RTX 4070 is perfect for gaming at 1440p, allowing it to keep frame rates in excess of 100fps. True, this is taking into account DLSS3 technology, which is not yet supported in all games.
The GeForce RTX 4070 will go on sale tomorrow. For this model, Nvidia has prepared a Founders Edition version – it is for it that they ask for $ 600, but partner solutions will be more expensive. At the moment, the GeForce RTX 4070 is not only the most affordable model of consumer desktop accelerators in the Ada Lovelace line, but also the most compact – it has enough space for 2.5 slots in a PC case.
