Gigabyte M30 M.2 SSDs up to 1TB
Gigabyte Technology has announced the M30 series solid-state drives suitable for use in desktop and laptop computers. The family includes two models – 512 GB and 1 TB.
The products are made in the M.2 2280 format with dimensions of 22 × 80 mm. Applied 3D TLC NAND flash memory microchips. The stated MTBF (mean time between failure) is 2 million hours.
The PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (NVMe 1.3 specification) is used. The speed of sequential reading of information reaches 3500 MB / s. Sequential write speeds – up to 2600 MB / s for the 512 GB version and up to 3000 MB / s for the 1 TB model.
The IOPS (number of input/output operations per second) for random reading and random writing reaches 350 thousand and 302 thousand for the younger version and 308 thousand and 322 thousand for the older version.
A five-year warranty backs the drives. Sales will begin shortly, but unfortunately, there is no information about the estimated price.
