Gigabyte’s new Brix ultra-compact computers use Intel Jasper Lake processors

Gigabyte Technology has announced new nettops of the Brix family, enclosed in a case with a volume of only 0.67 liters. Debuted models GB-BMPD-6005, GB-BMCE-5105, and GB-BMCE-4500C are based on the Intel hardware platform codenamed Jasper Lake.

The devices have dimensions of 46.8 × 112.6 × 119.4 mm. Depending on the modification, a Pentium Silver N6005 processor (four cores; 2.0-3.3 GHz), Celeron N5105 (four cores; 2.0-2.9 GHz) or Celeron N4500 (two cores; 1.1-2 , 8 GHz). Moreover, the third version is content with passive cooling.

As part of the graphics subsystem, an integrated Intel UHD controller is used in all cases. The equipment includes a Gigabit LAN adapter (Realtek 8111HS), a Realtek ALC255 audio codec, a dual-band (2.4 / 5 GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac wireless module.

The amount of DDR4-2933 RAM can be up to 16 GB (one SO-DIMM module). It is possible to install one 2.5-inch drive and M.2 2280 solid-state solution with PCIe or SATA interface.

The front panel features USB 3.0 Type-A and USB 3.0 Type-C ports and standard audio jacks. At the back, there are HDMI 2.0a and mini DisplayPort 1.2a interfaces, two USB 3.0 ports, a socket for a network cable.
