But he hopes that partners will continue to produce such products.

The processor giant has already sent a notification to its partners with a corresponding statement.

Intel is leaving the PC market. The company will no longer produce NUC mini PCs

We have decided to stop direct investment in the Next Unit of Compute (NUC) business and change our strategy to allow our ecosystem partners to continue to innovate and grow NUC. This decision will not affect the rest of the Intel Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX). In addition, we are working with our partners and customers to ensure a smooth transition and fulfillment of all of our current commitments.

In fact, the question concerns not only mini-PCs. The corresponding division of Intel was also responsible for the reference design of notebooks, reference motherboards for mini PCs, and so on. All this Intel will no longer do.

At the same time, the company expects third-party manufacturers to continue to develop the NUC ecosystem.

The first NUC PC came out in 2013, meaning the family has evolved over 10 years. Whether manufacturers will keep it with Intel’s exit from the game is still unclear.
