UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) i.e. the Government of India organization keeping the data stored of Aadhaar cards has issued a new guideline for children’s Aadhaar cards. UIDAI has issued guidelines for updating the Aadhaar card of Indian children i.e. Bal Aadhaar.

An important rule for children’s Aadhaar card

This is a very important rule, under which parents have been asked to update their children’s Aadhaar cards at the age of 5 years and 15 years. This means that if there is a child in your house, it will be mandatory for you to update his Aadhaar card at the age of 5 years and then at the age of 15 years.

UIDAI has also given this information by tweeting through its official Twitter account and said that parents must update the Aadhaar card of their children at the age of 5 and 15 years. Parents can get their children’s Aadhaar card updated free of cost by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center.

Blue Aadhaar card for children up to 5 years

According to UIDAI, there are changes in all the body parts including fingerprints of children with age, which is mandatory to be updated. To clarify the difference between Child’s Aadhaar and an Ordinary Aadhaar, the government has started issuing it Blue ie blue colored child’s Aadhaar for children of 0-5 years. This blue-colored Aadhaar card will not be valid after the age of 5 years.

If your children have completed 5 years of age, then you should immediately visit your nearest Aadhaar card center and get your children’s Aadhaar card updated. This is a free service. After that, the blue-colored Baal Aadhaar card given to your children will be changed to white colored one, which is usually held by people.
