A GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 16 GB of VRAM should have only one purpose: to appease those critics who think that 8 GB is not enough (let me tell you a little secret: right!). But a more equipped model is not very attractive in terms of price and positioning.
Recall that the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB will cost $500, despite the fact that the RTX 4070 costs $600. Given this fact, the reaction of video card manufacturers looks quite natural.
