The reason for this was a car in GTA Online whose name “Vetir” could also be read as “VI: 7.11” in the chosen font. In the USA, however, the date is read differently than in Germany, so the first assumption when the Vetir was announced at the beginning of the year was that the announcement for GTA 6 would take place on July 11th, also a Sunday.
After no evidence of the next Grand Theft Auto, the title came on July 11, some clung to the hope that Rockstar, to fool everyone, would have written the date according to European convention. Yesterday finally came November 7th – but there was no announcement about GTA 6. So fans have to wait again without any clues as to whether a release announcement for GTA 6 will come at some point.

In the past few weeks there have been new indications and with it corresponding rumors that the release announcement for Grand Theft Auto 6 could fall on November 7th. The rumors were driven by several new announcements related to GTA Online. New teasers and trailers in particular provided plenty of topics to talk about.
