Guilty Gear: Strive has announced a new fighting game – Dungeon & Fighter Duel
Within the framework of the Dungeon & Fighter Universe festival, Nexon publishers announced a joint project with the Neople and Arc System Works development studios – the fighting game Dungeon & Fighter Duel (DNF Duel).
DNF Duel is a fork of the shareware action RPG Dungeon Fighter Online. The date or even the approximate timing of the release of the new game has not been announced.
The list of target platforms for Dungeon & Fighter Duel is also kept secret, but Nexon assures that the project will not become someone’s exclusive: the release is announced on several systems.
Very little is known about the game itself at this stage: for example, a 40-second teaser trailer announcement reveals that Dungeon & Fighter Duel is based on the Unreal Engine.
In addition, the video demonstrates a little less than ten seconds of the Dungeon & Fighter Duel gameplay itself and a fragment from the animated intro video.
Nexon is in no rush to share details either, but its press release promises “an outstanding fighting game for players and an exciting new direction for the Dungeon & Fighter franchise. “
Apart from DNF Duel, Arc System Works is also busy developing Guilty Gear: Strive, which is set to release on April 9, 2021, for PC (Steam), PS4 and PS5. In early 2021, closed beta testing will take place on Sony consoles.
