Hades Tops Unofficial Ranking of Steam’s Highest Rated Games for 2020
SteamDB administrators on their microblog drew attention to the list of the highest-rated Steam games for 2020 according to their unofficial Valve service database.
The mentioned list has 250 positions, but within the framework of this material, we will focus on the top ten. It, like the entire chart, topped Hades from Supergiant Games.
The mythological roguelike is ahead of the closest pursuer in the face of the Factorio factory construction simulator by only hundredths of a per cent (97.45% versus 97.41%). Half-Life: Alyx closed the top three with 96.81%.
Representatives of the top 3 showed such a high result that they were among the ten most highly rated Steam games of all time (again, according to SteamDB): Hades came in second, Factorio came in third, and Half-Life: Alyx came in sixth.
The Top 10 Highest Rated Steam Games for 2020 according to SteamDB are as follows:

- Helltaker – 96.57%;
- The Henry Stickmin Collection – 96.51%;
- Phasmophobia – 96.43%;
- Ultrakill – 95.64%;
- Senren Banka – 95.59%;
- Townscaper – 95.51%;
- Persona 4 Golden – 95.28%
It is worth noting that the SteamDB developers use their own algorithm to compile the rating of games, which is different from that used by Valve. So the unofficial status of the list is also explained by this factor.
The valve itself, however, usually does not calculate the average rating of its products at the end of the year. In 2019, the company was interested in the number of copies sold and concurrent players.
