The new Haval H5 is not a match for the first generation model
Chinese media published a photo of the new generation Haval H5 SUV: this car is very different from its predecessor, which, by the way, was sold in Russia. The new Haval H5 turned out to be not just big, but very large, and the new photos demonstrate this well.

The proportions are interesting, if you look at the sidewall, you get the impression that the designers just took a pickup truck and “screwed” the roof over the loading platform to it. The front is reminiscent of the front of the Haval 500. Local media call the Haval H5 the “People’s Tank 500”, indicating that the new product will be simpler both technically and in terms of equipment. Although the dimensions of the Haval H5 surpassed not only the Tank 500, but also other larger SUVs: the dimensions are 5190 x 1905 x 1835 mm, the wheelbase is 3140 mm long.
The back is called “sporty”, but this is very doubtful. Although it looks quite modern.
Haval H5, if it strikes, then only from the outside. Minimalism reigns inside. Actually, it is clear from the interior design that the Haval H5 is far from the Tank 500: there is not a hint of luxury here. However, all modern options in this model will be.
According to the Chinese Ministry of Industry, Haval H5 will be equipped with 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel engines with a capacity of 224 hp. and 165 hp respectively. But there will probably also be a hybrid power plant.
